| For over 60 years Stark Carpet has specialized in custom designed carpets sold
though designers and architects. The late Arthur and Nadia Stark founded the
firm and traveled the world acquiring fine carpets and discovering the art of
recreating carpet masterpieces. Today the firm, headed by the Stark’s sons, John
and Steven, continues to specialize in custom carpets while expanding its base
with additional product categories.
In 1993 Stark Carpet Corp. purchased Old World Weavers, a leading resource for traditional and historic textiles. The Old World Weavers acquisition expanded Stark’s reach and focus in the textile industry. Further expansion to the Stark group of products took place in 1994 with the introduction of Stark Fine Furniture. And four years later in 1998, Stark Wallcovering was developed to complement the fabric and carpet divisions. |
